I stayed at the jasmine beach village for 1 week at the end of june 09. I have been to egypt 6 times and this was a bad experience. I was in bed for 3 days with food poisoning.
If you are english you will not like this hotel it only caters for russians. The food is bad and I got ill and I only had bread and soup.
The rooms are not what you see on the internet thay are not nice at all and the cleaner is lazy.The staff are very nice and friendly, but thay tell you not to eat the food.It is a shame because it could be a really nice hotel.
All the english people I spoke to with children had to get taxis to mcdonalds because there children would not eat the food, and the manager is ENGLISH!

The first night we arrived we were pestered by a few staff who were after tips! Which was not a good start to the holiday but the next day things got better and as we settled into the hotel we felt very comfortable and really enjoyed ourselves.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the food was good although there was not a great range of variety, there was enough to keep us happy and there are other restaurants where you can pay for better quality food if needed.
During the day there are a few activites by the pool such as water gym, aerobics, belly dancing, latino dancing and water gym, there is also a salon by the pool where you can have beauty treatments, tattoos and hair braiding, there are also excursions that your holiday rep will tell you about such as snorkelling(the more expensive snorkelling trips is where you'll see dolphins), quadbiking (camel riding), trips to cairo, luxor and hurghada town (which i do not recommend, shopkeepers hassle you way to much!)
I found that most of the staff are very friendly nd helpful and can speak English, the cleaners keep the room spotless everyday and supplied us with 2bottles of water evryday. They was a show everynight down at the pergola bar near the beach where they do dancing, comedy shows, discos etc.
Overall think this is a nice hotel and you have the facilities of the 2 hotels next door. Before going away i was a little worried from reading other reviews but at the end of the day a holiday is what you make of it and i would definately go back again! Missing it already!!
