The UK's leading travel websites experienced a huge drop in visitors to their websites in October. Figures show that visits to the top 10 travel websites are down 17% against October 2007.
October's top 10 include Expedia, First Choice, Travelrepublic, Thomson and lastminute.com. Ebookers and Skyscanner are new entries.
The slump suggests the problems in the economy are affecting the travel industry worse than expected. Another factor is consumers switching to other brands or more specialist websites. |
